Nice staff. Made a mistake and charged me twice. Staff rectified this and were very apologetic and bought me a beer to show their apologies. Pretty clean rooms with the option of regular social activities. Good location, however somewhat dated. Bed comfortable enough, however pillow hard and felt like it was full of rice. Very noisy at times with other travellers not respecting quiet hours. Blow drying hair and banging around in rooms. Basic, but overall good experience.

We stayed there for 2 nights in a triple room in the annex. It was a very pleasant stay, a newly renovated room with 2 WC and a shower. The breakfast and 24h coffee/tea are served in the main building, across the road. It is a quiet residencial area in Tokyo downtown and next to the subway lines with connections to many sightseeing places around the city. It is a walking distance to the Imperial palace and the Tokyo station (fot those who like to walk). The staff members have been polite and helpful. I would definitely stay again here.

My high rating is based on the value for the Yen, I reserved a small private room for an excellent price, very rare for Tokyo. Also a 300 Yen espresso that was actually tasty was much appreciated! One of the excellent factors of this place is that it’s only a 10 minute subway train to Shinjuku. Small breakfast is also included in the price.

My original room had a weird smell so had to change to another. It was better, but not great. They do provide basics of robe and small towel. ¥100 rental of large towel for shower. Showers are private and clean and shampoo and body provided. Depending on room, you may hear people making noise in halls by bathrooms and sinks. Bring earplugs. Bed comfort was 3/5. Doable but not great for my aging back. Free breakfast and coffee was a nice touch. Staff was very nice and better English than most hotels I stayed at. Note: WiFi didn’t reach rooms very well or was very slow. It was more reliable in the lobby.

Nice social vibe which is pretty unusual for hostels in Japan. Lovely free breakfast and kind staff. Only drawback is beds are a little hard and creaky, but apart from that it’s great! Showers are super nice
